How to back up a WordPress site using CodeGuard

CodeGuard makes it very easy for WordPress users to keep their blogs backed up. You can have your blog backed up in the following way:

  • Click on the Add WordPress site button in the main menu:


  •  Download the plugin:




  • Install it in your Wordpress admin area in the following way:


1. Log into your WordPress Admin area
2. Click on the Plugins page
3. Click on the Add new button
4. Select the Upload option
5. Locate the codeguard.zip file you have downloaded and click the Install Now button
6. Click the Activate Plugin link to enable the plugin
7. Click on the new CodeGuard page in the left-hand navigation
8. Fill in your key and secret tokens and click the Update
button

Once the plugin is installed in your WordPress admin area, it will take from a few minutes to a few hours to back up the initial site. When the process is completed, an email notification will be sent to the contact email.
