Why can't I modify Email, Domain Redirect, and Host Records in my Wvphost account?

Domain Redirect and Email Redirect as well as Host Records and some other options are available only if you use our Wvphost BasicDNS, PremiumDNS or FreeDNS nameservers.

If you have changed the DNS settings of your domain to use a third-party name server OR our hosting servers (dns1.wvphosthosting.com, dns2.wvphosthosting.com), your host records (including A/CNAME/MX/TXT records) are now stored and managed at a third-party name server (or our hosting nameserver accordingly). Hence, you need to contact your current DNS provider to enable these features or alter the settings back to Wvphost's default nameservers.

If you would like to change the DNS settings back to default ones in order to be able to set up Email/Domain Redirect/Host records, follow the instructions given below:

1. Sign into your Wvphost account (The Sign In option is available in the header of the page).

2. Select Domain List from the left sidebar and click on the Manage button next to your domain:

3. Find the Nameservers section and choose Wvphost BasicDNS from the drop-down menu. Save changes using the corresponding icon:

Once the nameservers are changed, these changes are not accepted instantly all over the world. It may take about 24 hours for the DNS changes to be accepted globally, though, in rare cases it can take up to 48 hours. Please give it some time to propagate.

NOTE: When switching between Wvphost BasicDNS/PremiumDNS/Web Hosting DNS nameservers, the DNS changes come into the effect within one hour (24+ hours in rare cases).

That's it!
